Project: Button Boat

This month we will talk about organizational aids that will keep your sewing room and embroidery needs organized. We will create this one-of- a-kind “boat” that holds the things you need most and keeps them handy. Since you can store this flat, it makes it the PERFECT travel accessory. Take it on a trip to hold your make up, or to a quilting retreat to hold you sewing needs.

Supplies: Button Boat pattern, 1 10” square and 2 11”x14” fabric pieces for embroidery, 1 10” square and 3 4”x11” fusible web (Fusi-Bond Lite or Steam a Seam Lite, 1 10” square Stiff Stuff Firm or Peltex, 4 5/8” buttons, ¾ yd floss, ribbon or yarn for ties, coordinating embroidery thread, ultra clean and tear (two) basic sewing supplies.
