BRING YOUR USB STICK AND A LUNCH!
Project: Wacky T-Shirt Throw
This throw goes together easy an fast. Cut the focal points from your T-shirt and add strips to the sides and top and bottom to make it a 14 inch square. Stitch 20 together to make a 48 by 64 inch top and then quilt as desired!
Supplies:
20 assorted T-shirts, cut into 14” squares and with Pellon EK130 Easy Knit White fusible interfacing fused on the back (or some other kind of fusible interfacing)
20-40 2.5” x WOF strips or pre-cuts, sewing thread
Bernina foot #97D (1/4” foot) cotton batting (twin size), fabric for backing to measure 60” x 73”
You will not need to bring the batting and the backing to class.

Technique: Overlock – A Balanced Stitch
Successful serging begins with understanding the stitch. Learn to dissect the components of 4-thread Overlock stitch formation. Then work to troubleshoot a balanced stitch and gain the confidence to adjust settings for all your textile and creative needs.
