Technique: Embroidering on a towel, Monogramming

Create this useful tote to take to the beach. Easy to carry over the shoulder, your beach towel folds into the tote; it can also hold essentials such as car keys, money, and sunblock.

Finished size: 18 x 14” without handles.

This project is compatible with any embroidery machine that has the capability to stitch 6” x 7” designs.

Items we will provide:

Project kits containing stabilizer and straps 

Items you need to bring:

  • OESD USB Stick - Returning Students. (New Students will receive a Stick at their first class)

  • Sewing machine with embroidery unit, power cord and embroidery foot. (Or reserve a machine by calling the store)*

  • Thread snips

  • Applique Scissors

  • Seam ripper

  • Pins

  • Water soluble fabric marker

  • Tape

  • Large oval embroidery hoop

  • Wonder Clips

  • White bobbin thread

  • THREAD TO MATCH PROJECT 

  • BEACH TOWEL

  • COORDINATING HAND TOWEL

  • FAT QUARTER OF COORDINATING FABRIC

Please bring your lunch and drink.  Coffee and hot tea are available in the classroom
