Appliqué is the technique of applying fabric shapes to a background fabric and stitching them in place along the edges. Learn to appliqué on card stock by completing this fun and easy Appliqué Greeting Card. After completing the project you will be able to apply your knowledge to other appliqué projects. 

Bring your embroidery to life and off the fabric with Freestanding Lace using this unique and stunning Freestanding Lace design! This Freestanding Lace creation is the perfect project for your special someone or Event! Light them up with electric tea lights and watch the beautiful hearts and swirls come to life with the flame of romance. After completing this project you will become a master at making this unique type of embroidery. You will learn how to utilize embroidery tools and apply that knowledge to other machine embroidery projects.

Items we will provide: Kit containing fabric, stabilizer and cardstock, Kit containing stabilizer

Items you need to bring:

  • OESD USB Stick - Returning Students. (New Students will receive a Stick at their first class)

  • Sewing machine with embroidery unit, power cord and embroidery foot. (Or reserve a machine by calling the store)*

  • Thread snips

  • Applique Scissors

  • Seam ripper

  • Pins

  • Water soluble fabric marker

  • Tape

  • Large oval embroidery hoop

  • Wonder Clips

  • Bobbin thread to match top thread for lace

  • White bobbin thread for card

  • THREAD TO MATCH PROJECT FABRIC

Please bring your lunch and drink.  Coffee and hot tea are available in the classroom
